“Study visit – NFE and LL – recognition and possibilities”
15/03/2009 – 20/11/2009
This 4 days long study visit on non-formal education and lifelong learning was organised in Novi Sad and Belgrade in Serbia and gathered 14 participants from 8 organizations from Croatia, Serbia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Poland, Portugal and Turkey.
This study visit aimed to provide insight into the operation of Serbian organisations and institutions working in Non-formal Education (NFE) and Lifelong Learning (LL) and to boost the initial local efforts in promotion and recognition in these fields.
The objectives were:
- to explore realities of Serbian organisations running education programmes and working towards recognition of NFE and LL;
- to examine good practices and possibilities for improvement in working on recognition of NFE and LL in Serbia;
- to exchange information on position of NFE and LL in different European countries;
- to support sustainable partnerships between the participant organisations in the framework of Youth in Action programme;
- to develop ideas for innovative common projects and programmes as a build-up from this visit.
This project was connected to priorities of the Youth in Action programme and it emphasized NFE and LL as concepts and values common to all European countries and provided the ground for improved co-operation between different organisations working on non-formal education. The project was based on participatory approach which allows young people to give their input and influence in each stage of the project.
The total grant for this project was: 9.115,00 EUR.
