“Fundraising for inclusion”

The 7 days long training course “Fundraising for inclusion” gathered 26 participants from 9 countries (Serbia, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Kosovo, Denmark, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Germany) in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia.

Target group of this training course were active youth workers, leaders and volunteers that are involved in work with marginalised (target) groups and need to fine tune their knowledge, competences and skills regarding writing and fundraising for the projects/activities oriented towards the marginalised groups and thus more effectively improve proactive inclusion among youth and work on combating the social exclusion.

Some of the objectives were:

  • To motivate youth leaders and volunteer coordinators to and empower them for active promotion of combating social exclusion in their projects and programmes;
  • To empower youth leaders and volunteer coordinators in fundraising and grant application writing for working with marginalised groups;
  • To allow for exchange of practices among youth workers, leaders and volunteers from different countries/communities on different aspects and perceptions of marginalisation and inclusion, different insights and perceptions about youth work with marginalised groups and values in those work;
  • To develop more projects and activities, on local level and within the Youth in Action Programme.

All the sessions have been developed on the basis of non-formal educational methods. There was a fair mixture of theory and practice and the participants had the possibility to work on examples that, they themselves, were proposing.

The amount of the EU grant of this project was 15.000,52 EUR.
