(Erasmus+) Youth in Action
“Balkan/Baltic cooperation: Making projects with impact”
01/09/2008 – 01/03/2009
The Training course „Balkan/Baltic cooperation: Making projects with impact“ was implemented in November 2008 in Novi Sad, Serbia; with 6 partners from 6 different countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Serbia and FYR Macedonia) and 24 participants.
This training course was the direct result of the feasibility visit “New connections between Ba-Ba regions for new ideas”, which was organised in Novi Sad, Serbia, in January 2008. It was a great opportunity for the young people from the Baltics and the Balkan region to meet, to share their realities and to learn from each other. More over, the training had the strong follow up effect, empowering participants to find partners and to organise their own projects after the training. In this perspective, the Youth in Action programme was that opportunity for the future projects and for regional co-operation. Through the training course we trained youth leaders on how to develop the projects with the strong impact on local community, and to look for the innovative ways of how to involve the local community in the project.
The training course was based on the non-formal education and the pedagogical understanding of the Council of Europe and the European Commission Partnership Programme and our own experience. The trainers team used maximum variety and creativity of the methods during the training course in order to ensure that participants can apply those methods back in their organisations and when working with young people in local communities.
The total grant for this project was: 20.731,00 EUR.
